Reclaim.
I have decided 2023 is going to be all about the word “reclaim”.
⏳ I will reclaim my time
As an entrepreneur, I have fallen victim many times to saying yes to things even when I am at capacity. It 100% comes from a scarcity mentality. “What if this is the last client EVER to come knocking on my door?!” Well, I have evidence that is not the case. So instead of saying yes to everything I am going to say “not right now” and protect my time. A tactical example I am finally implementing is I will immediately book 30 minute buffers after every meeting that gets scheduled. I need time to decompress and switch gears. Literally. Back-to-backs drain my energy and do not allow me time to process or prepare. I forgive myself for all the times I said yes and meant no. I will reclaim my time.
🤩 I will reclaim my happiness
After two straight years of doing the work (yes, it is work) on myself, I can confidently say that my light is shining brighter than ever before. I am the old Brooke. The confident one that strangers will talk to randomly. The boisterous one who laughs really loud (IYKYK). The energetic one who talks animatedly about ideas, galvanizing others into action. I got to this place again by listening to my gut and making decisions in alignment with my values. This is my MO moving forward to ensure I stay true to myself and happy. I forgive myself for all the times I didn’t listen to my intuition. I will reclaim my happiness.
🍎 I will reclaim my health
Unfortunately, because of not protecting my time, never slowing down and waiting too long to leave situations not serving me, my health has suffered. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder earlier this year and it’s time to make my health a priority again. The yoga retreat was the catalyst I needed to refocus and not let anything come before my physical health again. The yoga retreat will become an annual thing. I forgive myself for all the times I didn’t rest. I will reclaim my health.
I am confident that by reclaiming these three things I will be a better business owner, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
It’s time to reclaim what is mine and continue to grow! Who’s coming with me?
Let’s Grow! 🌱
